Fans of ‘The Simpsons’ were thrown into a panic a couple of weeks ago when word leaked that the voice actors on the show were holding out for more money. Fox said if they couldn’t come to an agreement this current season would be the last for the show. There’s happy news though: the show has been renewed for two more seasons — the 24th and 25th seasons, to be exact.

‘The Simpsons’ is the longest running prime time scripted series in American television history and now News Corp., which owns the franchise, may be looking to capitalize on 22 seasons of the Emmy-winning cartoon with a channel dedicated exclusively to life in Springfield.

Marge Simpson thought it was unfair when Barbara Bush labeled ‘The Simpsons‘ “the dumbest thing I had ever seen” during an interview the then-First Lady did in 1990. So Marge wrote Barbara a letter in which she explained that she was “deeply hurt” by the criticism, and that she wasn’t sure why  Bush hadn’t given her family “the benefit of the doubt.”
