SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Supreme Court is weighing the state's push to claim the right to use some 12,000 rural roads that run over federal land.

Yesterday morning southern Idaho roads were a skating rink. We received at least a dozen reports of slides offs, rear-ends and accidents in Twin Falls.

We've been waking up to snowy conditions in Twin Falls a lot in the last 8 weeks. By this time I should be used to driving in the snow. Every snow storm should make me more comfortable driving in white out conditions but it doesn't!

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Two House Republicans say they have a last-minute proposal to raise $70 million to $100 million per year in new transportation funding.

The Idaho State Police have issued a High Wind Travel Advisory for the Magic Valley Area.

State Highway 75 between mileposts 183-185, near Red Fish Lake, is now open to motorists.

Road Construction is in full swing...let the u-turns begin. Friday I was on my way to pick up my kids only to find out that Hankins Road South was closed to through traffic between Orchard Drive East and Kimberly Road.

Following this mornings news that a much needed light is going in at Fillmore and North College, we got to thinking about other areas that could use better traffic control.

4:30PM Update: Idaho Transportation Department has opened both westbound and eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 from mileposts 95 to 137.  However, there are still some westbound lane restrictions.  From  mileposts 115 to 120, is currently still closed so tow trucks can clear out several semi-trucks involved in the series of crashes earlier today...

If you are planning on traveling over Galena you may want to re-think your travel plans. The National Weather Service reports there is a winter storm warning in affect for Blaine county until 5:00pm tonight.
