Lost Gold

The canyon near Rogerson is incredibly treacherous in some locations, with sheer rock walls standing more than 200 feet from the river below.

From Pocatello to Boise, there is said to be lost loot stashed by bandits near some of these known trails that still hasn't been recovered.

Nineteenth and twentieth-century miners used southern Idaho as a route to the west to seek claims of gold booms and lost treasure. According to many documented explorations, a good amount of gold and other valuables were lost in the southern desert of Idaho in the process.

Two south Idaho stagecoach robberies that took place 140 miles apart in the 1800s resulted in several hangings, and the lost loot has never been officially recovered.
