Merciful Zeus, 'Community' may yet reach its "Six Seasons and a Movie" mantra after all. After NBC initially canceled the perpetually bubbled cult comedy, and even after Hulu reluctantly passed on an opportunity to save the series, Yahoo Screen stepped in at the last moment to reunite the Greendale Gang for 'Community' season 6. Streets ahead, y'all!

We were already dismayed to learn that Hulu likely wouldn't exercise its option to resurrect 'Community,' though it seems the streaming service has its eye on at least one star, and an even bigger name. A new report says that Judd Apatow is plotting his next TV series, and currently eying Gillian Jacobs for a 'Love'-ly leading role in a major get for Hulu.

We've been around long enough to know that talks of a TV revival after a cancellation are unpredictable, but when it comes to NBC's 'Community,' it looks as if Hulu won't be the "Six Seasons and a Movie" savior we all hoped. The network officially passed on reviving the Greendale Gang for a sixth season, but is there still any hope for 'Community' in the end...

Our spirits over 'Community''s untimely fifth season cancellation were lifted by the notion that Hulu had entered early talks for a sixth season of the Greendale gang, but as was the case with similar fan-favorite 'Happy Endings' before it, no news is decidedly not good news. Now, series creator Dan Harmon has given an update on the Hulu negotiations that won't inspire many feelings of confidence.
