Pets do the darndest things on camera. One Idaho cat was recorded recently on a doorbell camera seemingly pleading for someone to announce if they're "home."

My sister-in-law's cat just returned home after last being seen in June; she joked that the cat took a summer vacation elsewhere. You'll never see a dog do that, because they aren't as good at feeding themselves as cats are.

The debate as to whether or not cats are smarter than dogs has been going on for decades. I've seen both do incredibly dumb things, but one thing is for sure, and that's that most cats and dogs are more intelligent than human beings.

I've never owned a cat. My family has always had dogs as our furry companions. In the past year or so, my wife has been buying cat food and feeding a neighborhood stray that wanders into our orchard almost daily. It's black and white, and she's nicknamed it "Oreo."

Cats are definitely more stalker-esk, and sometimes they just show up out of nowhere. I recently came across a YouTube short of a Gem State cat sitting in front of a doorbell doing what some would argue simply meowing. The #idaho was used in the description of the video, so either the animal's name is Idaho or the feline lives in Idaho. Regardless, the cat may have been meowing to start, but man, it clearly sounds like it's saying "home" as the video gets closer to the ending.

Have a listen for yourself.
