
A Starbucks Policy Many In Idaho Won’t Mind Leaving In 2025
Starbucks coffee enters 2026 with a chief executive officer beginning his third year at the helm. Loyal customers barely noticed most of the changes the company made last year, but one has become controversial among staffers at the coffee chain now celebrating its fifty-fifth year in operation.
I'm not a massive Starbucks coffee drinker. I might pass through the drive-through five times in a year, and it's usually to pick something up for my wife. So, I'm the last person to ask when it comes to promotions and policies.
I did read something rather interesting this week regarding one policy in particular that many staffers and customers would probably prefer to go without in 2026.
Starbucks 2025 Change That Many Employees Seem To Not Be Fond Of

Some of the changes made last year by CEO Brian Niccol included the removal of a few less popular menu items and an afternoon snack lineup unveiled mainly overseas. One requirement that appeared to be set into motion in 2025 involved the baristas writing messages on cups, and it wasn't a very popular decision among employees, according to Business Insider.

I don't know how you feel about management requiring mandatory messages on cups to customers, but I think the employees are busy enough that they should be spared from having to personalize orders this way. Aside from that, I couldn't care less about meaningless scribbles on my cup.
