UPDATE: 1 Killed in 5 Car Crash on Highway 93 in Jerome, ID

ACCIDENT UPDATE: The multi-vehicle accident has ended in 1 fatality and an arrest on probable cause for felony vehicular manslaughter. The report form the Idaho State Police states:

A 2024 white Toyota Rav 4 driven by a 36-year-old male from Boise, ID was traveling eastbound on SH25 when it failed to stop at a stop sign colliding with four other vehicles.

The following vehicles and drivers were involved in the collision:

• A 2006 white Ford F450 driven by a 45-year-old male from Buhl, Idaho.
• A 2022 silver Subaru Forester driven by a 75-year-old female from Jerome, Idaho.
• A 2022 white GMC Sierra driven by a 36-year-old female from Twin Falls, Idaho.
• A 2008 black Honda Civic driven by a 48-year-old male from Jerome, Idaho.

All occupants of all vehicles were wearing seat belts. The driver of the black Honda was pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the white Toyota was arrested on probable cause for felony vehicular manslaughter and booked into the Jerome County Jail.

The entire intersection at US93 and SH25 was blocked for approximately five hours.

The accident happened around 1:38PM at the intersection of SH25 and US93 in Jerome County.

ORIGINAL STORY: There is currently an accident in Jerome on Highway 93 at State Highway 25 blocking traffic in all directions.

Authorities advise using an alternate route until the scene is cleared.

Multiple Vehicles Involved in Friday's Crash in Jerome

As this is a current accident and an ongoing investigation, not all information is available. We'll update this post when more information is released. The Idaho 511 report states:

Multi vehicle crash on US-93 Both Directions near SH-25. All lanes blocked. Activities: consider alternative route, expect delays, use caution.

Follow detour, prepare to stop, drive with extreme caution.

There is a camera on US-93 to the north of the accident, but it is too far away and doesn’t show any of the accident or traffic backup.

US93 at the intersection of SH25 is known as the blinking light intersection in Jerome and is one of the most deadly intersections in the entire United States.

Idaho State Police responded to another serious accident on Thursday evening to the west of Twin Falls.

The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office posted an update on Social Media at 9:28 PM of the accident that happened on Highway 30 at N 2600 E.
