Wild Police Chase On Interstate 84: Two Arrested In Southern Idaho Incident
A high-speed chase in Southern Idaho on I84 ended with 2 suspects in jail. The female driver and a male passenger were taken into custody and transported to the Canyon County Jail.
The police chase started around 7:20 PM on December 2nd after an Idaho State Police trooper tried to stop a vehicle for speeding. The vehicle was a 2011 Honda Pilot heading west on Interstate 84 in Ada County to the northeast of Boise.

The driver failed to stop and in an attempt to elude the police, reached speeds around 115 miles per hour, and was driven in a reckless manner by the driver, a 39-year-old woman from Salmon, ID. At one point near mile marker 26, the vehicle slowed down enough to let the male passenger, a 37-year-old from Kuna, get out without injury. He surrendered to the police without incident.
The female driver then sped off, continuing west on I84. Middleton Police deployed a ‘Stop Stick’ device near Exit 25 to deflate the tires of the Honda. The attempt was successful and the female driver was taken into custody shortly after for felony eluding. She was also taken into custody with no injuries.
Following the incident, as troopers investigated, it was discovered that both the man and woman were in possession of controlled substances. The female driver also had an active warrant and the male passenger had marijuana in his possession.

ISP reports that there were no civilians or officers injured during the incident.
