In case you haven't heard, rogue drones are being spotted in the sky all across the U.S. as of late. Unidentified, random drones just...flying around and being sus.

What happens when they show up in Idaho? What are you supposed to do?

Yes, there is actually a checklist of things you should do if you see a drone in the sky you don't recognize.

First of all, make sure you're safe. If the drone is pestering you or flying toward you in an aggressive manner, take shelter. While this may sound majorly stupid, have you seen a drone close up? Some of them can weigh a lot and would definitely do medium-to-maximum damage to your face at full-speed.

Ok, now that you're safe. What can you do? Do you call the police? Here's what we suggest:

  • Do you recognize the drone as belonging to a family member or friend? If so, ignore.
  • Do not be tempted to shoot a laser pointer in the general vicinity of the drone. This will only anger it.
  • Do not immediately call 911 screaming "AHH I JUST SEENT UN ALIUN!" until you're sure it's not just some kid using a drone trying to spy on the neighbors. He's a pervert. He's not above it.
  • If it is aliens, simply give in. Their tractor beam is far too powerful for you to resist, and trying to fight back will simply elongate the process of the probing. Nobody wants that.

If you actually see a drone in the sky that seems suspicious, you should probably call the police. Or Space Force. Or Santa?

This is new to us.

Sure, that was humorous, but some of these rogue drones are no joke. If you haven't seen the photos yet, they certainly look...ominous.
