We are absolutely not here to disparage the brave men and women who fight fires here in Idaho. They keep us safe, risk their lives, and they have our support.

With that being said, this story is absolutely going to blow your mind.

Um, what happened with an Idaho firefighter? They kidnapped someone?

That's correct. 100%.

A 22-year-old Hagerman firefighter, Steen Lamb, remains in Ada County custody. His crime? Luring a man into the Eagle foothills, tying the man up, and proceeding to tase and beat him up. With the help of accomplice, no less.

According to investigators, Lamb and the victim had a previous connection, and that's what lead to them meeting, before the attack began.

Lamb has been with the Hagerman Fire Department for the past six months.

That's about as brave as it gets, if you ask us.

Unfortunately, kidnapping attempts in Idaho happen more often than you'd think. While it's not fun to think about, you'll definitely want to stay vigilant and safe when you're out in public. Especially if you're by yourself, or with children.
