How Many Californians Have Moved To Idaho? More Than You Think

In case you haven't heard, people from California love them some Idaho. Don't believe us? Ask anyone who's lived in Idaho for more than a year or two and they'll be happy to tell you.

Some folks love it, others aren't so keen on thousands of Californians moving to Idaho and making it their new home.

Well, like it or not, we're way past the point of "this could become a thing." It's definitely a thing now.

The number of people who've moved from California to Idaho in the past few years is staggering.

According to Google, here are some numbers to think about:

• 27,000 Californians relocated to Idaho in 2022
• 17,000 Californians relocated to Idaho in 2023

In 2024, it looks like by the end of the year we'll have another similar number to add to the list as well.

This may be one of the first times we've heard of someone moving back to California because living in Idaho simply wasn't for them.
