Recently Boise has been looking back on our history.

A new video has just taken the internet by storm showing what Boise looked like in the 1940s. The old 1945 videos resurfaced on TikTok and has people who have both lived here forever and people who are new reminiscing on what our city used to look like.

There was even a new exhibit put up in Boise. The new art display called Signs of Our Times is a bunch of old neon lights that have been put back up and installed in Boise. The historic neon signs are featured for everyone to enjoy and take them back to a time when Boise was much smaller.

Now a video is getting lots of views on Tik Tok and it's all about the history of a certain bar in downtown Boise. Humpin Hannah's has been an established bar and a Boise staple since 1978 and the best place to go out and watch Rocci Johnson sing!

Just like every part of Boise there is a little bit of history that comes along with almost every location, and Humpin Hannahs is no different. Before Humpin Hannahs existed it was actually a bike messenger shop. Back in 1912 it was a place that was frequented by bike messengers and sometimes they didn't always get along.

Two of the bike messengers got into a bit of an argument and one of the bike messengers in an act of self defense hit the other with a bike pump and the other did not make it out alive.

We had no idea this story existed but it's just part of some of the crazy history from Boise, Idaho.

Wow! Boise has changed.

Downtown Boise's Nightclub Ghost

When hundreds of bodies fill into StrangeLove on a Friday or Saturday night, the venue is far from quiet. Loud music keeps the dancefloor going, patrons are screaming and yelling, celebrating and singing along, fighting with their boyfriends--whatever it may be. That only accounts for two nights of the week, though. What about on the other nights when you could hear a pen drop in the empty club? How about a barstool dropping?

According to club owner Ted Challenger, the club has a resident that has been dead-- for years--since about 1906. Her spirit lives on, allegedly, and this security cam footage is chilling!
