Believe it or not, it's that time of year again when most folks who have vacation time plan their annual escape. Some folks will use their time to work around the house or travel domestically or to other countries.

Our country has been through a very trying year with rising unemployment, inflation, crime, and the big election. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the busiest times for the travel and hospitality industry. I only envy people who will be traveling during this season.

Perhaps you don't mind the crowds or flying across the country or worldwide. However, how safe is it to leave your home this year? Should you consider staying at home because of the dangers worldwide?

We've read and listened to reports of terrorist attacks in Europe and the Middle East. There are still Americans and Israelis who are being held as hostages by Hamas. Terrorists and other nefarious villains do not recognize the holiday season.
