My husband and I discovered the craziest, saddest and slightly creepy thing yesterday about a downtown Salt Lake City hotel.

We have stayed in this hotel several times, and I'm betting you have stayed there too. It's a nice hotel that offers great customer service, free breakfast and an indoor pool. The hotel was originally known as the International Dune Hotel and later was converted into a Shilo Inn.

As I was booking the hotel, I glanced over some reviews that suggested the hotel was haunted due to a horrific murder that had occurred 36 years ago. At first, I didn't believe these reviews. Then I found an article from Flattop's History, War and Politics that gave the horrific details of the murder. I read an additional article from hauntedhouses.com that suggests the hotel is haunted. After reading both articles I found myself feeling a little un-easy about staying in the hotel.
