After a devastating accident, Zac Brown made one heartbroken fan very happy.

Thomas Schoettle, a loyal Zac Brown Band fan, was ready to see the group perform at the BB&T Pavilion on July 14 in New Jersey, but he had a tragic accident just days before the concert that left him paralyzed and unable to attend.

family friend reached out to the singer on Facebook, detailing how Schoettle suffered a severe spinal cord injury after diving into a 5-foot pool, and asking the singer if he'd be willing to visit his devoted fan in the hospital.

"At 17, the reality of the possibility of paralysis for the remainder of his life is difficult to accept,” family friend Anthony Mela Sr. writes in the post.

Brown delivered on the request, surprising his excited fan the day after the show. "Oh my God!" Schoettle exclaimed when he saw his favorite country star walk through the door. "I can't believe you guys are here. This is nuts."

"I figured since you couldn't come to us, we'd come and see you," Brown told him. "Stay positive, that's the best thing you can do."

Zac Brown Band's latest album, Welcome Home, was released in May of 2017, debuting in the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200. The group is currently on a massive 2017 tour in support of the album that continues through the fall before wrapping up on Oct. 28 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
