CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (KLIX) Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that killed a young child Saturday in Canyon County.

In a statement, Idaho State Police say the child was thrown from a pickup after it rolled of of Notus Road near Red Top Road at around 1:30 p.m. Investigators say Martha Booth, 65, of Parma, was driving north in a late 90's Dodge Pickup when it went off the shoulder, Booth overcorrected, and rolled the pickup.

The driver was taken by air ambulance to a Boise medical center. The child and driver were not wearing seat belts. ISP did not indicate the age of the young child. The roadway was blocked for more than three hours while police investigated.
