It looks as if the portable sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins is making its way to Xbox Live Arcade.

In a recent posting on the Xbox Marketplace, an entry for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate was added. Blackgate, which was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita, is actually the chronological sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins. Blackgate takes place three months after the ending of Arkham Origins, indicating that Batman did indeed survive all the dangerous pit of bugs that WB Games have left him in.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition is a 2.5-D game and offers many of the same gameplay aspects of Arkham Origins did, such as stealth mechanics, free-flow combat, batsuits and all types of WayneTech gadgetry. The Xbox listing also added that new content such as maps, enemy encounters, difficulty levels, batsuits, and enhanced visuals will be featured in this upgraded version. While a release date has not been set, expect to see Blackgate arriving on the Xbox Live Arcade via batplane very soon.
