When Brett Ratner took over the 'X-Men' franchise from Bryan Singer, he was tasked with adding new mutants to the steady roster of actors who were in the previous two films. One was Ellen Page, who Singer has brought back for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' to reprise her role as Kitty Pride. Page recently turned up on set, and Bryan Singer took a picture.

Also barely in the frame is Shawn Ashmore's Bobby Drake/Iceman. It's not surprising Page is back as her character Kitty Pride is at the center of the comic book version of 'Days of Future Past' as she is the one who alerts the X-Men to a future that puts mutants in internment camps, and is ruled by mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels. And though Ratner taking over the franchise from Singer (who left to make 'Superman Returns') wasn't the smoothest of transitions, it's nice to see Singer respect the continuity regardless.

Singer has been very active on Twitter with this film, breaking casting scoops, and updating with photos every couple days, so if you can't wait to see 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' it's advised you follow his account. The film is scheduled to hit theaters July 18, 2014.
