Gallivanting around the World of Warcraft is about to get a little more expensive for folks in the United Kingdom, as Blizzard has announced a slight rise in subscription prices that will start with the Warlords of Draenor expansion on November 13.

The new pricing levels were revealed on the official WoW forums, which started with Blizzard explaining their position: "We regularly look at our pricing around the world and from time to time we make changes in light of local and regional market conditions. As such, we want to give everyone a heads-up that we will shortly be adjusting the pound sterling subscription price of World of Warcraft."

The new rates look like this (with their translated US dollar counterparts included) :

30 Days - £9.99 ($16.72), formerly £8.99 ($15.03)
90 Days - £28.17 ($47.11), formerly £25.17 ($42.09)
180 Days - £52.14 ($87.20), formerly £46.14 ($77.17)

As you can see, it's not a gigantic increase from the previous prices, but WoW fans in the UK probably won't be too thrilled with the increase. These prices do accumulate, increasing the yearly costs of playing Warcraft by about $20. We're wondering if this means that subscription prices will increase elsewhere in the world. A slight increase in the monthly price in North America isn't out of the question, though we doubt current WoW fans would be happy with it.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor will launch for PC on November 13.

Hopefully, Activision's Goblin-greed doesn't spread and affect North America's subscription rates.
