TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A woman has pleaded not guilty to killing a Twin Falls firefighter in a hit-and-crush earlier this year.

The Times-News reports 33-year-old Hollie Marie Winnett, of Hollister, entered the pleas Monday to felony charges of vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal crash. She's set to go to trial in January, but her attorney says negotiations for a possible plea agreement are ongoing. Winnett is accused of killing 34-year-old Ryan Franklin, who was riding his bike when he was struck by her Jeep in May.

Winnett told police she fell asleep behind the wheel and woke up when she hit something. She says she got out of her vehicle but didn't see anything and drove off. Authorities found the badly damaged vehicle about 10 miles from the crash site.
