Between 'Iron Man 3' and 'Man of Steel,' 'The Wolverine' has almost been the forgotten superhero movie this summer (which seems almost impossible considering Wolverine is one of the most popular comic book characters around). But Fox is looking to change that with this brand new 'Wolverine' trailer - giving us our biggest, and best, look at the film yet.

We made no bones about not being sold on the original 'Wolverine' teaser trailer and openly worried about our dear Wolverine. Was he doomed to yet another subpar movie? But then we saw the Japanese 'Wolverine' trailer and it showed major improvement and offered some glimmers of hope.

With the final 'Wolverine' trailer upon us, what's the final verdict?

Well, it's definitely an improvement. There's a lot of the same footage and through lines you've seen before (Logan being offered to become mortal, him realizing his powers are weakening, the bullet train fight, etc.) but there's just enough new stuff here to get you excited. It's hard not to see Wolverine squaring off against Silver Samurai and not get a little pumped. (It does curiously though give away what we'll presume is the entire Jean Grey "surprise cameo" in the very first moments. So much for a surprise...)

Here's the official 'Wolverine' plot:

This epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

'The Wolverine' hits theaters on July 26.
