Will Clark Cleveland Face Death Penalty In Twin Falls Shooting?

It will be awhile longer before a Nevada man will find out if he faces the death penalty after a shooting and hostage drama that played out at a Twin Falls hotel earlier this year. news

Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs asked for and was granted an extension until November 4^th to file intent to seek the death penalty for 26 year old Clark Cleveland of Spring Creek, Nevada.  Cleveland is accused of shooting and killing 43 year old Tracy Ivie of Utah in the lobby of  the Twin Falls Hampton Inn on July 15^th and then holding a woman hostage for several hours before surrendering to police.  The woman was not hurt.  According to Idaho Law prosecutors have 60 days from the time of arraignment of a suspect to declare the intention to seek the death penalty.  One extension was granted late last month due to the workload.   Cleveland is currently being held in the Twin Falls County Jail.
