Where’s Robbie?

Where is Robbie Knievel?  According to the Times News today no one has heard from the daredevil son of the legendary Evel Knievel.  Robbie Knievel visited with local officials last May regarding a possible re-enactment of his father’s failed 1974  attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon. 

Twin Falls Area Chamber Of Commerce Director Shawn Barrigar says he has not heard anything from the young Knievel since the May meeting.  And time is getting short if a jump is to take place on the 4^th of July as was tentatively planned.  Barrigar says there is a lot of planning that must take place in that short period of time if the jump is to take place.

Right now local officials are in a holding pattern waiting for Robbie Knievel to contact them if something is going to take place.  Twin Falls Mayor Don Hall and others agree such an event would probably be a good economic shot in the arm for the area but time is running short to promote such an event.
