When Do You Open Christmas Presents?

As a child I wished my parents would let me open my Christmas presents on Christmas Eve. My parents insisted that Christmas wasn't Christmas until 6am on the 25th of December. Technically, my parents were correct, but we all had those friends that got to open ALL of their Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve...not fair, right?
