With technology today, it is great to be able to track packages, but when one gets held up at a location for a while, it begins to raise questions. It is always smart to have a tracking number, as it will help lower anxiety during this time of year, but what are the proper ways to respond when they stop moving? Contacting the delivery service or post office is the best place to start, and if that doesn't work, then contact the seller or company that shipped the item. You may not receive the answers you are hoping for, but it helps to make sure everyone is aware. You could get mad, depressed, angry, and throw a temper tantrum, but that doesn't solve anything. Depending on how long it has been, you could cancel the order, ask for a refund, and then order the gift again or something different. You could do nothing, wait and see how things play out, and then let fate take its course. None of these are ideal, but unfortunately, when a package is lost, options are limited.

The mail system will frustrate you this holiday season. It is a part of the holidays and should be considered a tradition at this point. It will happen. The sooner you accept it, the better it will be. Stay calm, stay patient, and have faith that all of your packages will arrive. The sooner you order, the better chance you have of seeing them make it in time for the holidays. Perhaps one or two gets delayed, but late Christmas presents aren't the worst.
