On the heels of the water crisis in Twin Falls today, it's good to ask yourself what you should do if such a crisis were to be long term.  And while it's most likely that our situation will be short lived,  it is a reminder that it's a good idea to be prepared.  Experts recommend a minimum of 3 days supply of food and water in your house at all times.  Most experts suggest that up to 3 gallons per person per day should be stocked in your home.

One of the first things you should do when first hearing about a possible water shortage is quickly determine how much water you have on hand and safely obtain more if you think you'll come up short.  And obviously, it's better to do this in advance than wait until the moment of need.
