Today is the final day of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Awareness month but it is far from the end of the disease. This is because there is still very little known about CRPS and no known permanent cures. Some with the disease are able to get temporary relief from their pain through medication, physical therapy, and heat or cold applications. Many doctors have little or no knowledge of the disease. Cadee is a young girl in the Magic Valley with CRPS who went to multiple doctors and online sources trying to get answers about her constant pain.

Online sources are available to learn more about CRPS. Since there are fewer than 200,000 cases in the United States each year it is a very rare disease and harder to understand and study. The actual cause of the disease isn't well understood but is believed to be caused by inflammation or nerve dysfunction.
