What Are the Rules at a Continental Breakfast?

Martin Cathrae Flickr.com

Yesterday morning my family and I were at a hotel that offered a continental breakfast. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, went back to our rooms, and then proceeded to check out.

On our way out I noticed the continental breakfast was still available so I decided to take some food to go. I had a large Ziploc bag that I filled with 3 mini muffins, a bagel, and a box of cereal. I also took a cup of coffee, orange juice, and a cup of milk with me.

While I was loading up on food I was getting some weird looks from the guests in the dinning area. It made me wonder…should I be taking food to go? Is it ok that I am feeding my family twice from the continental breakfast? You tell me.
