Wendell City Worker Killed on Job Site

Wendell, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) - A Wendell city worker is dead after a construction accident today.

The Gooding County Sheriff's Office tells us 43-year old Jerrad Durfee was installing a water pipe at 375 West Main around eleven this morning.

That's when the six foot trench he was jack-hammering caved in on him. His co-worker immediately started digging him out...

He was able to free his head and shoulders, but unfortunately he was not able to get him out in time.

Durfee was declared dead at the scene.
