In the past few years, stores have been opening earlier and earlier on Black Friday to try to get a jump.  This year, according to New York Times, Target, Macy's, Kohl's, and Best Buy all announced that they're opening at MIDNIGHT on Thanksgiving night.

But yesterday, Walmart announced they're going to beat that . . . they're opening their doors for Black Friday at 10:00 P.M. ON Thanksgiving.  In other words, two hours BEFORE it's actually Friday.

But, they're going to hold off a little bit on their craziest deals . . . you know, the ones people trample each other for.  Those won't be available until midnight.

This is the first time ever that a store has opened for Black Friday on Thanksgiving night.

A Walmart exec says they're making the move because, quote, "our customers told us they would rather stay up late to shop than get up early."

I think this is great. Instead of waking up early I can just stay up late. What do you think?
