VIDEO: Twin Falls Visitor Center Officially Open

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Twin Falls Visitor Center officially opened for business Thursday.

While the center has been unofficially open for about a month now, on Thursday the ceremonial ribbon was cut.

Representatives from around the community and from around the state came out to show their support.

Lieutenant Governor Brad Little was in attendance to take part in the celebration.

To kick it off, members from the City, Chamber of Commerce and other agencies spoke. Following that, the ribbon was cut.

President and CEO of the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce, Shawn Barigar spoke to us before the festivities got underway.

“We’re so excited to share this with the community and celebrate this wonderful new facility and all that it is going to offer both those of us who live here and visitors to the Twin Falls area," said Barigar.

The Visitor Center now features an interpretive center detailing the past of the region.

Another addition to the new center is the original Perrine Stage Coach which sits right at the entrance of the center.

The Visitor Center is open year round from 8 AM to 5 PM.
