On June 16th, 2014, Filer, Idaho resident George Haney Jr. flew in the B-25J "Maid in the Shade" bomber that flew missions in Europe in WWII. Mr. Haney served in the Air Force during World War II and passed up the chance to fly the B-25 because his loyalty to his friends. He instead flew the B-17. Mr. Haney was excited to be able to ride in the B-25J thanks to the Commemorative Air Force out of Arizona, who restored the bomber to its former glory. By Benito Baeza
