Upcoming CSI Events
Houda from the College of Southern Idaho stopped by the studios to let us know what is coming up at the college.
- There are two performances tonight at the CSI Fine Arts building. The first is ‘Favorite Poem Project.’ Students and faculty will be reciting their favorite poetry, free of charge, at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. The second is the Stage Door Production called ‘The Mathematics of Resonant Bodies.’ This will be a demonstration by music professor Scott Farkas on the pure tone found in all sounds – even what we often call ‘noise.’ This will be a fascinating exploration of sounds we often take for granted. The Stage Door performance is at 7:30 tonight on the Fine Arts Auditorium stage.
- Earth Day is Saturday April 22nd and CSI will mark the event with their 8th annual Sustainability Fair. Everyone is invited – it’s from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union. We’ll have more than 30 exhibitors demonstrating Earth-Friendly products and processes. It’s free of charge.
- The CSI Student Senate’s 3rd annual Disc Golf Tournament is this Saturday on the CSI disc golf course. If you haven’t signed up in advance, registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the course, which is located on Frontier Field Drive. The tournament starts at 10 a.m. For online registration, go to Goldeneagle4disc@gmail.com. The fee is $25 for advanced players, $20 for intermediate, and $15 for beginners. Just $5 for kids. All proceeds go to CSI scholarships.
