Two new parents in Santa Clara, California have a young daughter who loves the Pixar movie 'Up,' so they did what any awesome parent would do: they gave their Victorian home a fresh coat of paint to look like Carl and Ellie's house from the movie. It's adorable! But, the Charles Muntz's of the neighborhood aren't so happy and have complained to the Old Quad Residents Association about the new look. You might say they got all UP in arms about it....

Hosam Haggog and Fatima Rahman spent over two years doing the painting work and renovations to make their home look more like the 'Up' house, thinking their children would love it and it would be fun for the neighborhood kids as well. Maybe the kids liked it, but the grumpy old grumps in the neighborhood are huffing and puffing about all those bright colors.

"It's being painted up to look like a clown," said one neighbor who added that the new look was "atrocious."

Some of the neighbors went so far as to complain that the renovations didn't follow the proper procedures for historical buildings and that the city should've more carefully reviewed the plans. The city's response? They're throwing a big block party once the 'Up' house is complete. Take that, Scrooge!

For their part, Rahman apologized for all the hubbub saying, "We're not trying to create controversy. We're trying to build a home for our daughters and our family. And that's what our intention was."
