Capcom has officially announced the release dates for Ultra Street Fighter IV, the fourth version of its seminal fighter, Street Fighter IV. In addition to a new gameplay trailer showing Ultra’s four new characters, they have also revealed pricing information for the upgrade.

Players who already own Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on PS3 can upgrade to Ultra Street Fighter 4 on June 3, while Xbox 360 players will need to wait an extra day for the download. Both upgrades will cost $14.99. Full retail and digital copies will also be available for $39.99 on August 5. PC players can join in on August 8, with a $14.99 digital upgrade or $29.99 full digital copy. (It’s worth noting that Xbox Live’s Games With Gold program is set to release Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition as a free download in June, making this an even better deal for Live gold members.)

The trailer shows newcomers Elena, Hugo, Poison and Decapre battling it out in alternate costumes. These can be had for free by pre-ordering the full retail version. Capcom hinted that these specific costumes are only available through Amazon, and that other retailers may feature different costume options. All full versions, digital and retail, will come with every previously released alternate costume for the game’s 38 playable characters.

It’s been a while since we’ve fired up Super Street Fighter IV, but the Ultra upgrade will definitely bring us back to the fight. Besides, we’ll need to familiarize ourselves with this version before Capcom inevitably announces Hyper Street Fighter IV: Ultimate Ultra Special Tournament Plus Edition.
