MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — The University of Idaho has received a $3.3 million donation from a pair of Seattle philanthropists. Tom Alberg and Judi Beck say they're making the donation because of the quality experience their son, Carson, a senior, has had so far at the school. The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports the school announced Friday the donation includes $2 million to create an endowed faculty chairmanship in the College of Natural Resources.

The school also says $1 million is being given to pay for two new graduate fellowships. Another $225,000 will go to building a classroom at the school's forest nursery in Moscow. And an endowed faculty excellence fund in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will be created with $100,000.
