On June 23, 2014, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on US-20 at milepost 285, approximately 20 miles west of Idaho Falls. Adam Robinson, 32, of Idaho Falls, was travelling west in a 1999 Honda Civic. Randall Nowland, 50, of Amercan Falls, was travelling west in front of Robinson, in a 2007 Freightliner semi-truck and trailer. Nowland slowed his vehicle in preparation to make a left turn and Robinson's vehicle struck the rear of Nowland's trailer.

Robinson was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Nowland was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt.

The westbound lane of the Highway was blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
