POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a 12-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man died in separate crashes in southeastern Idaho. The Bear Lake County Sheriff's Office says a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 89 near Paris Sunday afternoon was caused by blowing and drifting snow, and driving too fast for the conditions. The Idaho State Journal reports several people were taken to a hospital, where the 12-year-old girl died of her injuries. Her name was not released.

Bannock County Coroner Kim Quick says another person died in a separate accident that night on U.S. Highway 91 near Swan Lake. Idaho State Police says 20-year-old Guy 'Clancey' Rinderknecht drove off the road, over-corrected and rolled the vehicle, which caught fire. He was ejected and died at the scene. Two passengers were treated at hospitals.
