MERIDIAN, Idaho (KTVB) - Two Treasure Valley men were arrested Monday afternoon after some high-speed motorcycle incidents during the past two months reaching speeds up to 160 mph along I-84 and adjacent roads.

Idaho State Police said arrest warrants for felony eluding officers were served on Russell Shayne West, 27, of Nampa and Lance Gordon Ocampo, 29, of Boise in a residence on the 1800 block of Broxon Street in Boise. The charges stem from at least seven incidents, ISP said.

Each involved law enforcement trying to stop the rider of a 2004 Yamaha R6 motorcycle with an obscured license plate for driving at speeds of more than 100 mph on I-84 in Boise, Meridian and Nampa. On those occasions, ISP said the rider - later identified as West -  failed to stop for officers. Pursuits were either not started or were called off because of safety concerns.

The last incident occurred on October 20. ISP said a trooper tried to stop West, who was riding alongside another motorcycle rider, later identified as Ocampo. ISP said they were seen weaving through traffic at excessive speeds on I-84 and Overland and Meridian Roads in Meridian.

Isaias Valdez, 29 of Notus was also arrested Monday at the same residence for possession of a controlled substance, resisting or obstructing officers and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. The three men were booked into the Ada County Jail. The investigation continues, and ISP said more charges are possible.
