A new third-person stealth game called Twin Souls: The Path of Shadows has just started a Kickstarter campaign, hoping to revive the feel of classic ninja games like Tenchu with the flair of newer titles like Dishonored.

Twin Souls puts you in the undead shoes of a spirit of vengeance named Aragami. You've been summoned by a girl in a fortress who's been imprisoned there for undisclosed reasons. As Aragami, you must use the shadows to go on a journey to destroy her prison seals and free her. In return, the girl promises to give you your old life back.

Aragami will have access to Shadow Powers that allow him to use the shadows to sneak, teleport between shadows, create darkened area and use strategy to assassinate your enemies.

The focus in Aragami will be on stealth, akin to games like Metal Gear Solid, Thief or the Splinter Cell series. As of this writing, the campaign has raised just over $10,000 out of its $70,000 goal. It remains to be seen whether or not this project will gain the traction it needs to succeed, but we're liking what we see so far and there are still 28 days to go in the campaign's life.

Check it out here and back the project if you're so inclined.
