Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The City of Twin Falls has beefed up its enforcement when comes to the regulation of fireworks. Stands have popped across the Magic Valley this week. Idaho’s First News reports If you live in Twin Falls, you can only light off safe and sane fireworks, but if you have mortars at your home, you better think twice about lighting them.

The City of Twin Falls launched an awareness campaign this month. There are additional officers on duty this year. According to the city ordinance, you can light fireworks through July 5th from the hours of 8 am through midnight. This also applies to the end of the year, between December 26th and January 1st. They will enforce the ordinance and answer citizens' complaints.

Justin James with the Twin Falls Fire Department says "Our regulations within the City of Twin Falls requires safe and sane to be in a diameter of 15 feet, 20 feet and under is allows for height," James also says not to light fireworks in a grassy field, do it in the street or driveway.
