Choosing New School Mascots in Twin Falls

On August 27th we informed you that the Twin Falls School District was asking the community for help regarding the new school colors and school mascots for the three new schools that will be built in Twin Falls.

The Twin Falls School District has just announced that they are extending the nomination period to October 25th. After all of the nominations have been collected the school district will begin the process of choosing colors and mascots for each school.

Eva Craner, the spokesperson for the Twin Falls School District stated, "We will be using the same process that was used to name Canyon Ridge. We have a committee of community members that will narrow down the list (3-5 options per school) and then present the list to the school board. Our policy says that it is the Board’s responsibility to name the schools so they will make the final decision at the Nov. 10 board meeting."
