Records indicate that 31 residential and vehicle burglary reports were filed with the Twin Falls Police Department during the month of September 2016. The vast majority of burglaries are crimes of opportunity, and can be some of the easiest crimes to prevent. Most criminals look for an easy target when it comes to burglaries of vehicles and homes.

The Twin Falls Police Department wants to remind our community to make sure you take time to secure doors and windows, and don’t leave valuables in your vehicle overnight or when you are away from it. Also, exterior lighting is a strong deterrent to criminal behavior. Be sure to limit dark hiding places around your property and park your vehicles in well-lit areas.
