TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Twin Falls police are investigating a suspicious death that happened over the weekend and are treating it as a possible homicide.

“We don’t have any specifics at this point,” Twin Falls County Coroner Gene Turley told News Radio 1310. "At this point we're treating it as a homicide."

His office was called a little after 1:30 p.m. Sunday to the area of Filer Avenue and Harrison Street, about 90 minutes after police arrived, he said, where the body of a woman in her 20s had been found. Her body looked as if it sustained suspicious injuries, Turley said, but cause of death has yet to be determined.

The body is now in Boise for an autopsy. Depending on the results, toxicology tests may follow.
