TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Twin Falls police arrested a 29 year old man on the charges of Trafficking in heroin and possession of a Controlled Substance on Tuesday, January 19.

According to a report filed with the court, while a police officer was in the 200 block of Caswell Avenue West observing a home where a resident had a felony warrant he saw a vehicle park in the carport of the home.

The officer then contacted the driver and determined he was driving with a suspended license. The man identified himself as Scott Abbott. As the investigation continued, police found two pills in a container that they believe to be a prescription, but not prescribed to the suspect.

Later they noticed a small sheet of foil on the driver’s seat of the vehicle Abbott was in. A further search uncovered more items the police say could be used in medication abuse.

They also discovered 7.3 grams of what was later identified as heroin along with trace amounts of methamphetamine. Abbott was arraigned on Wednesday where bond was set at $100,000. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 29.
