TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Saying he would kill cops if they keep bothering him, a 20 year old Twin Falls man has been charged with Burglary, Grand Theft, and two counts of Battery On A Police Officer.

William Morgan made the claim according to a court document filed Tuesday in Twin Falls. Police say they were called to Oasis Stop and Go on Addison just before 2 am on Monday January 18, 2016. An employee called authorities claiming there was a “creepy” male inside.

When police approached Morgan, they say he refused to talk to them. He was told to leave the store, but refused saying he would leave when his ride showed up. Police then asked for his identification. Again he refused. The suspect then stood up, walked toward the door then turned around.

Police then escorted the male outside where he spit his gum on the ground. Authorities say at that point they intended to place him into custody for littering and refusing to leave the property. At that point he began to resist.

During the struggle, Morgan kicked an officer in the head while yelling obscenities and saying he was going to “Kill you all.” More officers arrived and assisted with detaining the suspect.

An officer said he recognized Morgan from an officer safety bulletin. It indicated that he had made statements to inmates that he would kill cops. Police claim Morgan then spit in an officer’s eye and on another’s face. While he was being placed in the patrol vehicle he kicked an officer in the stomach.

As the investigation continued, police found reported stolen items from White’s Mortuary and a financial transaction card. Video footage indicated Morgan walked into an employee area and took a purse. Later he allegedly removed the card. Morgan was arraigned in court Tuesday where a preliminary hearing was set for January 29. His bond was set at $100,000.
