Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Judge Richard Bevan has handed down his decision for a 24-year old Twin Falls man, found guilty of the death of Twin Falls resident Steven Gray.  

Cody Williams Abbott was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Four of those fixed and the other four indeterminate.  Abbott pleaded guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter in a deadly crash at the Fawnbrook apartments.  Police had arrived at 645 Fawnbrook Ave. about 1:45 a.m. Nov. 16, 2013 to find a black Subaru against a tree. The force of the crash had knocked the tree onto a nearby carport.

Police said Abbott was leaning against a nearby sign with blood on his clothes. Gray, who was 25, was outside the vehicle, covered in blood and unresponsive, a police report said. Officers and medics couldn’t find the Wendell resident’s pulse. Gray was transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, where it was determined that he had succumbed to his injuries.
