Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Rescue workers and law enforcement personnel were called to rescue a person whose car ended up in a canal near Filer.

The accident just before 2pm this Monday afternoon happened at 3550 North and 2200 East. Authorities say Jeremy Rogers, 33 of Twin Falls came to a stop at the intersection. After stopping, the driver went forward ending up in the canal. The intersection is a T meaning the driver should have either turned left or right.

Employees from the canal company were nearby, saw the incident and reported it to law enforcement. They then pulled the man from the vehicle. He suffered minor injuries and was treated at St. Luke’s in Twin Falls. The man’s name has not been released. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation continues.
