Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Twin Falls man is in fair condition at St. Alphonsus in Boise after being struck by a car Sunday night.

Boise Police say they were called to the scene in North Boise after a car struck two pedestrians. Jeff Olmstead 30 of Twin Falls was taken to the hospital while a second pedestrian walked away from the scene before officers arrived.  Investigating officers found evidence that both pedestrians had been consuming alcohol prior to the collision, according to information released by police.

Officers were called to the scene around 9:15 p.m. on West State at North 14th Street. Several witnesses had stopped and told officers that two pedestrians had stepped off the curb and attempted to cross State Street to the South. The driver of a Ford SUV told officers he saw the pedestrians step into the road and immediately applied his brakes but struck both pedestrians in the first lane of westbound State Street.

Olmstead was cited for failing to use a crosswalk. A second woman in her 20's, walked away after the collision leaving the scene. Officers found some evidence that she was injured in the collision. Officers completed an extensive search for several blocks in every direction, including alleys but were unable to locate her.
