Twin Falls House Fire Turns Fatal

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- A Twin Falls woman died from injuries in a house fire earlier this week. According to University of Utah Burn Center spokesperson a Barbara Schaak died Wednesday night.

The City of Twin Falls says Schaak was the owner of a house that caught fire at around 4:30am Tuesday. However, city officials did not say Schaak was the one who was inside the house.

A firefighter was also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation treatment and was later released. Several of the lower rooms in the two story house on Kenyon Road were on fire when firefighters arrived. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
